Manchester City beats Inter Milan to win the Champions League

With Rodri’s goal, Manchester City beat Inter Milan and won the unprecedented Champions League title; the Brazilian Ederson shone at the end to secure the result

Inter Milan managed to put pressure on Manchester City with an efficient strategy to hold the opponent’s attack. The Italian team took the team from Pep Guardiola the comfort zone by not giving spaces and avoiding the traditional game of domination.

In the second stage, Inter came back more focused to bring the fans to the game. After just 10 minutes, Dzeko fell on the lawn feeling cramps and gave way to Romelu Lukaku. At 12, Bernardo Silva faltered on the ball for Ederson and gave a gift to Lautaro, but the Brazilian goalkeeper appeared well to stop the Argentine’s shot.

City had a free-kick opportunity in the 14th minute after Barella brought down Foden in an attacking play, but Grealish fired a short shot past Gundogan, who crossed the box for Ruben Dias to head over the Inter goal.

Rodri opened the scoring for Manchester City against Inter Milan in Istanbul. In the 23rd minute of the second half, Akanji made a pass to Bernardo Silva, who crossed and saw the ball deflect towards Acerbi. In the remainder, the steering wheel hit placed in the right corner: 1 to 0.

Inter wasted an incredible chance to tie the game in the 25th minute, when Dimarco took advantage of a leftover ball and tried twice, with a header; the first stopped at the crossbar, and the second swerved into Lukaku. At 32, Foden had the chance to extend the scoring, but the low kick was well defended by Onana.

In the 43rd minute, Gosens took advantage of the cross in the area to head to Lukaku, who headed the ball dangerously. Ederson, however, saved with his knee and saved City. Rúben Dias then pulled away. At 44 minutes, the Belgian kicked low, out. In the end, the Brazilian shone and made decisive saves to secure the triumph. Final score: 1 to 0.
