Holding the Russian Cup final abroad is unlikely as the tournament is designed to unite the country’s regions, RFU Deputy General Secretary Erika Surikova told .
The Russian Cup Superfinal with the participation of Krasnodar and CSKA will be held on Sunday, June 11 at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, starting at 5:00 p.m. (Moscow time).
– Do you agree that in future the Cup final may take place abroad?
– Barely. It is a tournament that aims to unite all regions of the country, it is a celebration of national football. Therefore, the final will not be held outside of Russia, Surikova told .
