Footballers from the Israeli national team defeated the South Korean team in the match for 3rd place in the World Youth Championship, which is being held in Argentina.
The match ended with the score 3:1. Ran Binyamin (19th minute), Omer Senior (76) and Anan Khalayili (85) scored among the winners. The only goal of the Koreans from the penalty spot was scored by Seung-Won Lee (24).
On the way to the bronze medals, the Israeli team beat teams from Uzbekistan (1:0) and Brazil (3:2 after extra time) in the playoffs, and also lost to Uruguay (0: 1).
