Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola’s father has shared his emotions after his son’s side won the Champions League final.
The meeting between the English team and the Italian “Inter” took place last Saturday in Istanbul and ended with the victory of the “townspeople” with the score of 1-0.
“At 92, I never imagined that I would see my son win the Champions League again. It was a very big joy. I was with my sister watching the game at home.
We worried from time to time because the goal didn’t arrive and I thought it was going to go wrong again. Fortunately, everything ended well. There are matches that I stop watching because the pressure is very high and I am very nervous.
When he started at Barcelona, when he was 12, I always preferred not to have any illusions. I never had high expectations and look how far he’s come,” Valenti Guardiola told Super Deportivo.
Guardiola’s previous Champions League triumph came as manager of Barcelona in the 2010/2011 season.
