The second league starts on August 5
Preliminary dates for the start of the 2023/24 season have been announced PFL.
The first league will start on July 28. The start of the season in the Second League is scheduled for August 5. The final composition and format of participants will be determined at the PFL conference on June 21.
“20 teams are expected to participate in the First League, which will be divided into two subgroups according to the territorial principle. If there are fewer applicants, the tournament will be held according to the usual scheme. Returning to PFL Agrobusiness, Podolia, Victoria and the Left Bank.
“14 teams are going to start in the Second League, including Skala, which, after a long break, will again play at a professional level, as well as debutants: capital Lokomotiv and Druzhba from the Kiev region.”
Polesie and Obolon received direct tickets to the UPL following the results of the last season. Left the elite division – Lviv and Metalist. The first playoff matches for a place in the UPL also took place: Veres lost minimally to Metallurg Z (0:1), and Ingulets tied with LNZ (1:1).
Mariupol and Gornyak-Sport were relegated to the Second League. Niva Buzovaya and Khust advanced to the First League.
