Icelandic footballer Arnor Sigurdsson whose rights belong to the Russian CSKA, said goodbye to the Swedish “Norrkoping”.
Sigurdsson, 24, had previously taken advantage of the amendment from the International Football Federation (FIFA), which allows him to unilaterally suspend the contract with the Russian club until June 2023. The player’s agreement with the Red-Blues runs until the summer of 2024, while the loan to Norrköping officially expires on June 30, 2023.
– From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank everyone in Norrköping for last year, I enjoyed every second of it. Thank you for giving me back my smile and joy.
Now is the time for a new challenge, but I will be watching and supporting you,” Sigurdsson wrote on social media.
This season, the Icelander has made 15 appearances for Norrköping in the league and in the Swedish Cup, in which he has scored 9 goals.
