The Ukrainian lost his place in the first team, as the coach counted on another player
Ukrainian midfielder Yuri Vakulko left Riga.
The Ukrainian has been playing for the Latvian club since 2021. The midfielder played 47 matches for Riga, in which he scored six goals.
Vakulko has spent the last six months in the reserve team of the capital. The midfielder explained that the coach was counting on another player. Yuri denied information about the conflict with Riga’s mentor Tomislav Stipich. Earlier it was reported that the Croatian specialist reacted negatively to the initiative of the Ukrainian to go to matches with the national flag.
It was reported that the 25-year-old midfielder is followed by two UPL clubs. The Chinese Super League club Beijing Guoan is also interested in Vakulko’s services.
Riga leads the Latvian championship with 45 points. Stipic’s team will play with Jelgava on June 25 in the next match.
