Head Coach Assistant “Verona” Salvatore Boccetti commented on social media on the team’s preservation of the Serie A residency.
Previously, Verona beat La Spezia (3-1) in the play-off and will spend next season in Italy’s top league.
– No one believed in us, everyone predicted that we would fly, but the guys did it. I knew from day one that our team was capable of this feat,” Bocchetti wrote.
Bocchetti was appointed Verona head coach in October 2022. In December, Marco Zaffaroni took over the team, with Bocchetti as his assistant.
In Russia, the ex-footballer is known to have played for Rubin and Spartak.
