In the spring, contracts were suspended amid the war
Advisor to President Veres Sergei Koval responded to the accusations of football agent Oleg Avdysh of non-payment of salaries to football players by the club.
The functionary noted that the club continues to work against the backdrop of a full-scale Russian invasion and is already making plans for the next season.
“I want to say that salaries were paid: February was paid in full, March – partially. After that, it was decided to suspend the contracts, the decision was fixed in writing. The players and staff were not happy about this, but they accepted this decision and agreed. With a creak, but such is life, ”wrote Koval.
“Some players were paid for accommodation and meals in Rivne at the expense of the club, until the end of spring. To everyone who wanted it, and on good terms.”
“The club does not disappear, does not abandon its obligations, despite the situation in the country, but on the contrary, it makes plans, communicates with the players, and prepares for the new season. All obligations in the event of a season will be fulfilled.”
“By the way, let me remind you that after the start of the war, football was suspended, there were no trainings, so in fact there was a certain parity – the players also did not fulfill their obligations. Not through my fault, of course, but still.
Yuriy Wirth’s team finished last season in ninth place in the standings of the Ukrainian championship.
The new Premier League season is expected to start on August 20. Veres plans to start preparing for the championship on July 4th.
