In Kyiv, fans met with the new stars of Ukrainian eSports
On June 12, in Kiev, with the support of FAVBET, a press conference was held for the new stars of Ukrainian esports — the Monte team, which recently returned after a sensational performance at BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023. The event took place in the conference hall of the Dynamo football club.
Monte is a Ukrainian team that made a lot of noise on the world stage this year, unexpectedly breaking into the eSports elite and taking the place of the strongest CS:GO team in Ukraine.
In May, the team had a powerful performance at BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, which started as an underdog. Here, the Ukrainians managed to reach the champions stage, defeating much more titled teams, including FURIA, fnatic and another Ukrainian organization – the famous Na`Vi.
Only the Germans GamerLegion, who were initially considered the favorites of the tournament, managed to stop the Monte players. The result of Monte is the fifth place in the competition, which can be considered an analogue of the Champions League in the CS:GO world, and getting into the top 10 of the world ranking.
This is a huge achievement for a team founded just two years before. Monte was created in 2021 by Volodymyr “Woro2k” Veletnyuk, and the inspiration for the name was his hometown of Monastyrishche in the Cherkasy region. The coat of arms of the city even formed the basis of the logo of the organization.
Now Monte has 5 players – Ukrainians Vladimir “Woro2k” Veletnyuk, Sergey “DemQQ” Demchenko and Viktor “sdy” Orudzhev, Pole Simon “kRaSnaL” Mrozhek and Mohammad “Boros” Malkhas from Jordan. The team is marked by a clear pro-Ukrainian position and communicates exclusively in Ukrainian or English. And during BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, a QR code was placed on the uniforms of the players, which could be used to donate to United24.
On the eve of the Paris Major, the team signed a sponsorship contract with FAVBET, which, relying on many years of experience in previous esports partnerships, was able to see the huge potential of the young team.

We congratulate Monte on getting into the top ten teams in the world and are happy that they represent Ukraine in the international eSports arena. The event was attended by Woro2k and DemQQ along with coach Sergey “lmbt” Bezhanov and manager Aydin “KrizzeN” Turlibekov. During the event, attendees had the opportunity to meet Monte players and coaches in person, get autographs, and win Monte merch and other gifts during a themed quiz.
