Alexander Yegorov assumed the position of general manager of the football club “Ufa “, reports the press service of the Bashkortostan team.
Earlier in June Shamil Gazizov resigned from the post of general director of Ufa. The statement noted that Gazizov was blamed for the team’s results last season, after which Ufa were relegated to the second division. The management of the Ufa club accepted the resignation of the official.
Alexander Egorov ended his career as a football referee in July 2017, after which he took the post of deputy head of the refereeing and inspection department of the RFU. From May 2018 to December 2019 he served as Head of Department. In February 2020, Egorov was elected president of the Football Association of Mordovia.
