Football club president “Zenith” Alexander Medvedev believes that the St. Petersburg team, having the opportunity to play in European competition, would not be inferior to Champions League finalists Manchester City and Inter Milan.
The Blue-White-Blues won the Russian championship for the fifth consecutive time last season. In 2008, Zenit won the UEFA Cup.
