Blue-yellows beat North Macedonia, trailing 0-2 during the match
Head coach Ukrainian national team Sergey Rebrov won debut victory in an official match at the helm of the national team.
The blue-yellows beat North Macedonia (3:2) on the road. The hosts were leading 2-0 after the first half. However, Rebrov’s wards scored three times in the second half. Debut goals for the Ukrainian national team were scored by Ilya Zabarny and Yefim Konoplya, Viktor Tsygankov scored the winning goal.
Rebrov made his debut as head coach of the national team in a friendly match against Germany (3:3). The duel in Bremen became the jubilee, 1000th match in the history of the Bundesteam.
After beating North Macedonia, the Blue-Yellows have picked up three points and are fourth in Group C. England lead the way with their third win in qualifying, defeating Malta 4-0.
