WBC Light Welterweight World Champion Regis Prograis (29-1, 24 KOs) defended his title by defeating the Puerto Rican Danielito Zorrilho (17-2, 13 KOs).
The American managed to knock down his opponent in the third round. Zorrilla managed to get back into the fight and came close to winning in the eighth round, but Regis held his own.
The fight lasted all 12 rounds. As a result, the opinions of the judges were divided. One referee ruled in favor of Zorrilla (114:113), the other two gave the victory to Prograis (118:109 and 117:110).
Initially, Prograis was supposed to defend the title against Liam Paro (23-0, 14 KOs). However, the Australian withdrew from the bout due to injury.
