Virtus Francavilla Calcio announces that today it has reached an agreement with coach Alberto Villa who will take on the role of the new first team coach for the 2023/2024 season. A long-awaited return to Francavilla for the new manager, born in 1979, who was a protagonist as a football player in Eccellenza and in Serie D, helping with his goals to climb from Eccellenza to the Pro League.
He subsequently began his coaching career at Gallipoli in Eccellenza, finishing fifth in the league table. From 2017 to 2021 he was the assistant coach of Antonio Calabro, first at Carpi in Serie B, then at Viterbo and Catanzaro in Serie C.
