Spartak Responds to Quincy Promes Conviction in Cousin Assault Case

Head of the press department “Spartacus” Dmitry Zelenov said that the striker of the team Quincy Promesa it’s time to appeal the guilty verdict handed down by the Amsterdam court in the case of a footballer’s attack on a cousin.

Earlier it became known that Promes was sentenced to 18 months in prison and paid compensation of seven thousand euros. The club believe the defense will use the right to appeal the court’s decision.

The prosecution demanded that Promes, 31, be sentenced to two years in prison. He will also go on trial later this year for importing two shipments of cocaine totaling 1,362 kg through the port of Antwerp.
