Kievans return to work
Defender Dynamo Nikita Burda commented on the draw for the second qualifying stage of the Champions League. In this round, the Kyiv club will play with the Turkish Fenerbahce.
“Football is our job. Now all the people who have such an opportunity should work, so we also work. I think football should exist, because for people it is an opportunity to take a breath and at least relax a little bit.
“Whoever we get, we need to win and reach the group stage of the Champions League. As for Fenerbahce, we will start preparing for the opponent closer to the match, the coaching staff will show us and tell us what’s what.”
In mid-July, Dynamo will play Fenerbahce in the second round of the Champions League qualification. The first match between the teams will take place on July 19/20, the second leg on July 26/27. The winner of the confrontation will advance to the third qualifying round of the Champions League, while the losing team will go to the third qualifying round of the Europa League.
Today the Kyiv club has gathered in the capital of Ukraine for a medical examination. On June 24, Dynamo plans to fly to a full-fledged training camp in Switzerland.
Mircea Lucescu’s team has already scheduled two meetings, which will have the status of charity. On June 26, the white and blue will play Yverdon Sport, and on June 29 – with Lausanne.
