Midfielder Denis Glushakov can still play at least one season in Russian Premier League team MIR, ex-Russian national team forward tells Ruslan Pimenov .
On Monday, the PARI NN press service reported that Glushakov left the Nizhny Novgorod club. The footballer joined the team in February, signing a contract until the end of the 2022/23 season. Since then, the 36-year-old midfielder has played nine games and scored one goal.
– I think Glushakov could have spent at least one season in the RPL. Or exactly? Probably already in clubs at the bottom of the ranking. Such teams need experienced top players,” Pimenov told a correspondent.
Previously, Glushakov played for Lokomotiv Moscow and Spartak, Grozny Akhmat and Khimki near Moscow. With the Red-Whites, he became the champion of Russia and the owner of the country’s Super Cup. He has five goals in 57 appearances for the Russian national team.
