Offensive Al Nasra Cristiano Ronaldo noted that the football community has misjudged the level of the Saudi Arabian league.
The Portuguese joined the Saudi squad in December 2022.
– The Saudi league is magnificent. People misjudged him, but the transfers speak for themselves. I’m happy and, as always, I hope to score more goals. I am the record holder and the top scorer in the history of the Portuguese national team, but, honestly, I am not chasing records, they are chasing me. That’s my motivation to play at the highest level,” journalist Alfredo Pedulla quoted Ronaldo on his website.
Ronaldo, 38, made 19 appearances for Al-Nasr in all competitions last season, scoring 14 goals and providing 2 assists.
This summer, Ronaldo’s former partner at Real Madrid, Karim Benzema, joined Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ittihad.
