Spanish specialist Marcelino in the near future, he will take up the position of head coach at Marseille, according to RMC Sport.
According to the publication, on Tuesday the parties reached an agreement. Marcelino, 57, will sign a two-year contract with the French club. It should be noted that Marseille president Pablo Longoria “has always considered the Spaniard a great coach”.
In the 2022/23 season, Marseille was led by Igor Tudor, under whose leadership the club took third place in the French Championship standings.
Previously, Marcelino was head coach at Sevilla, Villarreal, Valencia and Athletic, with whom he won the Spanish Super Cup in 2021.
