They return to the second division of Ukraine Podolia, Left Coast, Victoria And Agribusiness. Most likely to stay in the First League Mariupolwho lost to Khust in the playoffs.

Matches first stage will go through two rounds in a round robin system. According to the results of the first stage, the teams that took from the first to the fifth places in groups A and B form “Champion” group for reaching the UPL, taking into account the indicators (points, goals) of the first stage in games between themselves (teams of the first-fifth places). In the new group, positions from the first to the tenth in the competitions of the First League are determined.

According to the results of the first stage, the teams that took sixth-tenth places in groups A and B form dropout group for the right to remain in the division, taking into account the indicators (points, goals) of the first stage in games between themselves (teams from sixth to tenth places).

On second stage teams of group A play matches only with teams of group B in two rounds in a round robin system – one match at home and the opponent’s field. The hosts of the first matches will be determined by a separate draw.

The first two places guarantee promotion directly to the Premier League. Teams that take 3-4 places will compete with 13-14 UPL teams.

16 teams took part in the current draw of the First League. Polesie and Obolon received direct tickets to the UPL, LNZ managed to reach the elite division through playoff matches. At the end of the season, Gornyak-Sport was relegated to the Second League.
