Torch Head Coach Vadim Evseev has proven itself both in the RPL and in lower leagues, many other specialists cannot boast of it, the general director of Voronezh residents told Roman Askhabadze.
On June 10, Fakel beat Yenisei (2:0) in the return play-off and retained his residence permit in the MIR RPL in the sum of two games (winning with a score of 1:0 in the first match). Evseev led the Voronezh team on May 1. At the start of the season, Fakel was coached by Oleg Vasilenko and then Dmitry Pyatibratov.
– What novelties did Vadim Evseev bring to the team’s game?
— Vadim Valentinovich is an experienced coach with an interesting history. I think he has great potential. At the same time, he never hesitated to work in the first or second league, like many other coaches. It’s proven itself at all of these stages, and that’s worth a lot. It seems to me that many experienced managers would not dare to go to a club threatened with relegation.
What’s new? It’s the experience, it’s the self-confidence that he transmitted to the team. He brought certain footballing nuances and subtleties. He also evolves as a trainer. Talking to him, I understand that he does not rest on what he did 5-7 years ago. It is generally accepted that these people with pronounced charisma are exclusively motivators. By the way, there is a lot of this in the press. Believe me, Vadim Valentinovich’s job is well done with theory. I didn’t attend the lessons, but I heard about it from the players and the team people. And I was, to put it mildly, surprised by the nuances of tactical analysis of the opponent, analysis of my game.
– If Evseev was free in December, could you then decide on this castling?
– In December, we had not considered changing coaches. The fact that our sports block, especially Kirill Kotov as sports director, always has to have a certain list of coaches in mind and follow them, yes. But in no December we considered a change of coach. The last point was fixed after the Orenburg defeat.
– The decision to end cooperation with Pyatibratov was not based on emotions due to controversial refereeing decisions in this match?
– We rarely rely on emotions, almost never. We are used to sitting down and talking. We are not the first day in football to rely on emotions. There are a lot of stressful situations in general, and if we succumbed to them, Fakel would not play in the RPL, Askhabadze told .
