Cannavaro will play in a charity match in London in support of Ukraine

The game will take place on August 5 in London

Legendary defender of the Italian national team and winner of the Golden Ball in 2006 Fabio Cannavaro take part in a charity match Game4Ukraine in support of Ukraine, which will be held in London at the Chelsea Stamford Bridge club stadium.

Cannavaro is known for playing for Napoli, Parma, Inter, Juventus, Real Madrid and Al Ahly. The defender won the UEFA Cup in 1999 and won the World Cup with Italy in 2006.

Cannavaro’s coaching career includes Al-Nasr, Tianjin Quanjian, the Chinese national team, Benevento and Guangzhou, with whom he won the Chinese Championship in 2019.

In addition to Cannavaro, ex-Barcelona defender Gerard Piqué, legendary Dutch and Milan national team player Clarence Seedorf, England legends David Beckham and Rio Ferdinand and other famous personalities will take part in the charity match in London.

Andriy Shevchenko and Alexander Zinchenko will be the team captains in the charity match. The head coach of the Zinchenko team will be the legendary French coach, ex-coach of the London Arsenal Arsene Wenger.

The charity fight is scheduled for August 5 in London. Its goal is to raise funds for the restoration of the Mykhailo-Kotsiubyn Lyceum in the Chernihiv region, which was destroyed by the occupiers in March 2022.
