In the Monegasque car, the third element of the power plant was replaced
Ferrari pilot Charles Leclerc received 10 starting penalty positions before tomorrow’s race at the Canadian Grand Prix.
After the Monegasque retired from the Azerbaijan Grand Prix due to engine problems, Leclerc’s car was replaced with an electronics unit before the second free practice – for the third time this season, which exceeds the allowable limit of two replacements.
Before tomorrow’s race, Ferrari may install a new power plant for Leclerc. In this case, Charles will start the race from the end of the starting grid.
Qualifying for the Canadian Grand Prix starts today at 23:00 Kyiv time. The start of tomorrow’s race is at 21:00 Kyiv time.
Leclerc has won two races this season. In the last four races, the Monegasque started from pole position and did not get a single victory in them.
In the individual standings, Charles takes third place, losing the lead to Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez from the Red Bull team.
