Flick will remain the head coach of the German national team

The Bundesteam have won only one win in their last five matches.

Hans Dieter Flick remain head coach Germany national team. The specialist assured the president of the German Football Association, Bernd Neuendorf, that he would stop experimenting and in September everyone would see a completely different team that would perform differently than in previous matches.

It is noted that the September friendly matches against Japan and France may be Flick’s last chance to retain the post of head coach of the German national team. Representatives of the DFB have not yet contacted a possible replacement for Flick, Julian Nagelsmann.

In the last five matches, Germany, under the leadership of Flick, lost to Colombia (0:2), Poland (0:1), Belgium (2:3), beat Peru (2:0) and drew with Ukraine (3:3).

Flick took charge of the German national team after Euro 2020, signing a contract until 2024. The salary of the head coach of the German national team is 6.5 million euros per year.

Under the leadership of Flick, the German national team failed to reach the knockout stages of the 2022 World Cup. The Bundesteam finished third in the group with Spain, Japan and Costa Rica.
