Former Moscow midfielder “Spartacus” and the Russian team Vladimir Bystrov criticized the appointment of Oleg Malyshev as the new general manager of the Reds-Whites.
On Tuesday, Spartak’s change of general manager was announced. Evgeny Melezhikov, who had held this position since June 2021, left the club by agreement of the parties. Malyshev was appointed instead.
– You know, I don’t like these dates very much, because I’m not a footballer. I was supporting Spartak, of course, but a trainee. You see, taking a trainee to a club that wants to fight for the championship, in my opinion, is unjustified. A club that sets high goals has no right to do so. Because it’s not a place for experimentation, in Spartak even footballers can’t get by.
They tried to put a bandit in this position, a weak…uh…I won’t say so as not to offend. But no one has succeeded in recent years, there is no result. They take everyone there, with no work experience – please! – Bystrov said on the air of the program “All for the match!” on the channel.
Last season, Spartak won bronze medals in the Russian championship.
