Ukrainian youth team will play with the Romanians on June 24
Head coach youth team of Ukraine Ruslan Rotan shared his opinion about the team Romaniawith which the blue-yellows will play in the second round European Championship 2023.
“You don’t have to pay attention to the match and the result against Spain. After all, the Spanish team is the Spanish team. After the defeat, Romania will be another team that will draw conclusions. They have nowhere to go – only to fight for the result against us. Therefore, we must be super motivated, understand that we are playing a match against a team that hosts this championship. We will play against the stands that support the hosts,” Rotan said.
“We expect a tough match, both physically and psychologically. I think that we first of all need to restore the guys and prepare very well, make a video review, analyze the matches of Romania. Be sure to talk to the guys about it today. Anyway, from the very beginning, when we were still getting together, we pay attention to our game. Every time we want to progress, improve, so the emphasis will still be placed on our game.”
In the first round of group B, the Ukrainian U-21 team beat Croatia thanks to goals from Oleksiy Kashchuk and Daniil Sikan — 2:0. Romania crushingly lost to Spain – 0:3.
The Rotanya team will play against Romania on June 24 in Bucharest. In the final round, the blue-yellows will meet with Spain on June 27.
