Ukraine already has six medals in Krakow
Angelica Terlyuga became a champion European Games 2023 in Krakow. In the decisive fight in the weight category up to 55 kg, the Ukrainian karateka defeated Ivet Goranova from Bulgaria – 2:0.
Terlyuga won her second career European Games medal. In 2019, Anzhelika became the silver medalist of the competition, losing to Goranova in the final.
Another medal in karate for Ukraine brought Nikita Filipov. He took third place in kumite in the weight category up to 60 kg, losing in the semifinals to the Greek Christos-Stefanos Xenos – 0:1.
The Ukrainian national team has already won six medals at the European Games in Krakow. Previously, gold medals were awarded to canoe-two Lyudmila Luzan / Valeria Tereta and kayak-two Oleg Kukharik / Igor Trunov, as well as the mixed diving team (Ksenia Bailo, Daniil Konovalov, Anna Pismenskaya and Alexei Sereda). Elena Kostevich became a bronze medalist in air pistol shooting from 10 meters.
