The BlueCo consortium has become a shareholder »Strasbourg “, according to the website of the French football club.
Last May, a consortium of American businessman Todd Bowley acquired the Londonchelsea “, which previously belonged to Roman Abramovich.
Under the deal, BlueCo will invest in the Strasbourg first-team and academy, but Mark Keller, who has led the club since 2012, will remain as chairman. Details of BlueCo’s stake have not been disclosed, but The Guardian reports that the consortium will own nearly all of the stake.
Strasbourg finished 15th in the French championship last season with 40 points.
