Kievans begin preparations for the new season
First team doctor Dynamo Anatoliy Zhuchka spoke about the mood in which the team approaches the resumption of the training process.
Yesterday, the first players from Kiev began to undergo a medical examination before the approximate start of the championship in August.
“Despite the war in our country, we try to carry out everything according to a pre-planned schedule. Today we are conducting a medical examination, the guys have arrived, they miss each other. The first group is having a medical examination today, the second is training at the base, tomorrow it will be the other way around. In general, everything is as always – the same specialists, the same amount of examinations. At the moment, of those who have been examined, everyone is physically healthy, emotionally, too, fortunately, they are not depressed, they miss work, ”Zhuchka said.
“Now they have attracted young guys to work with the first team, since a number of our players played for the national team and took a short break to rest. The coach will look at the youth at work and thus select a sufficient number of players for a full-fledged training process.”
“I can’t say that something has changed in our country due to hostilities in the country. We start working as usual, with two workouts a day, the same amount of examinations – and then we’ll see. Unfortunately, in the conditions we currently live in, our schedule may change due to circumstances beyond our control.”
In June, Mircea Lucescu’s team is scheduled to have friendly charity matches with Swiss Lausanne and Yverdon Sport.
In the new season, Dynamo will play in the second qualifying round of the Champions League, finishing last season in second place in the Premier League.
