Blue-yellows will play with the Romanians on June 24
Head coach youth team of Ukraine Ruslan Rotan commented on the upcoming match with Romania in the second round European Championship 2023. The specialist also spoke about the possible participation of Mikhail Mudrik and Vladislav Vanat in the fight.
“There are Mikhail Mudrik and Vladislav Vanat – they are recovering. Their participation in the game is questionable, but anything is possible. We will still consult with doctors and physiotherapists and make a decision,” Rotan said.
“32 degrees during the start of the match? We already adjusted to such conditions on the first day of the game. The main thing is water, so that we replenish our balance, because this heat really … [Должны] prepare yourself for what’s going to be hard. We are all well aware that there are weather conditions, they are the same for everyone. And there is an opponent who plays at home, for whom the stands will cheer. So we have to be aware of it.”
“As for the rhombus game, we do not practice it in our team, we have other tactical schemes, requirements for players. Yes, Georgy Sudakov is a versatile player, he can play in different positions, but we know his qualities, his interaction with the players. Sometimes Sudakov appears in the semi-flank.
“In terms of tomorrow’s game, this is, first of all, a different game, not a match with Croatia. It is impossible for players and journalists to analyze what these games will be like. The Romanian national team played against Spain, and if you take all the matches that will play, you need to objectively single out Spain, they have been showing good football for many years, they practically play in the same structure, good players are gathered there.”
“Croatia, Ukraine, Romania – we are somewhere equal plus or minus. And the game with Croatia was almost equal, and in tomorrow’s match we expect a situation where none of the teams will have a full advantage. The match will be difficult both for us and for Romania, plus the weather conditions. Two teams will fight for the result – both we and the Romanian national team need it.”
In the first round of group B, the Ukrainian U-21 team beat Croatia thanks to goals from Oleksiy Kashchuk and Daniil Sikan — 2:0. Romania crushingly lost to Spain – 0:3.
The Rotanya team will play against Romania on June 24 in Bucharest. The beginning is at 19:00 Kyiv time.
