Archer Pavlova at the European Games 2023 broke the national record of Ukraine, which held for 27 years

The Ukrainian successfully overcame the qualification in the singles tournament

Ukrainian archer Anastasia Pavlova beat national record of Ukraine, held for 27 years. The Ukrainian successfully performed in the qualification of the single archery tournament at the European Games 2023.

Pavlova knocked out 681 points in the qualifying competition, sharing the first line with Briton Haley Penny. Anastasia surpassed the national achievement of Lina Pavchuk and Lina Gerasimenko (673 points), set in 1996 in Atlanta.

Also, the result of Pavlova and Penny became a new European Games record. The previous achievement was set by Gabriela Baiardo in 2019 (666 points). The Ukrainian stopped just two points from the European record – 683 points.

The single archery tournament continues on Tuesday, June 27th. Pavlova will start the competition from the 1/16 final stage.
