Georgia snatched a draw from Belgium at the youth Euro 2023, Tsitaishvili scored a goal from Gocholeishvili’s assist

Georgians top group A

Georgian national team U-21 made a comeback in a match with Belgium in the second round of group A European Championship 2023.

The Belgians took the lead in the 15th minute of the meeting thanks to the efforts of Maxime De Kuiper. Before the break, Larzhi Ramazani extended Belgium’s lead.

At the beginning of the second half, Georgia closed the gap thanks to an aimed strike George Tsitaishvili from outside the penalty area. Winger Dynamo was assisted by Shakhtar Donetsk defender Giorgi Gocholeishvili. Note that both players came on as a substitute after the break.

At the end of the meeting, Georgia was able to recoup with the efforts of Giorgi Guliashvili – 2:2.

Recall that in the first round Tsitaishvili chalked up two assists and helped Georgia beat Portugal (2:0).

Georgia has scored 4 points and is in the lead in group A. Belgium is in second position with 2 points, ahead of the Netherlands in additional indicators. Portugal closes the quartet with one point scored.

In the final round on June 27, Georgia will play with the Netherlands, and Belgium will meet with Portugal.
