The Rotan team will play for the first place in the group in a head-to-head confrontation with Spain
National team of Ukraine U-21 came out in quarter-finals of the European Championship 2023 following the results of the matches of the second round of group B.
Today, within the framework of Quartet B, Ruslan Rotan’s team minimally beat Romania (1:0), and Spain coped with Croatia (1:0).
Ukraine and Spain scored 6 points each and became inaccessible to Croatia and Romania, who go without points after two matches and lost their chances of leaving the group ahead of schedule.
In the final round on June 27, Ukraine and Spain will compete for first place in the quartet. In the 1/4 finals, representatives of group B will meet with the best teams in group D, where Switzerland, France, Norway and Italy play.
Ukraine reached the playoffs of the European Championship for the first time since 2006. Then the blue-yellows reached the final, where they lost to the Netherlands (0:3).
