Zhytomyr club has not yet announced the transfer of the player
Former midfielder Alexandria Emil Mustafaev talked about becoming a footballer Polissya. The Zhytomyr club has not yet officially announced the transfer of the midfielder.
“This is a very interesting club. They have good conditions. Polissya became the only club that specifically expressed a desire to see me in their ranks. They offered good terms, negotiated with my agent, my father. We agreed, and I became a player of this club.
Yes, there were Azerbaijani teams that were interested in me. But at the moment I can play within Ukraine. Leaving the country legally and playing abroad is now unrealistic. Therefore, I decided to stay and accept the offer of the local club,” Mustafayev said.
Mustafayev made his debut for the first team of Alexandria in May 2021. In total, the midfielder played in 26 matches for the Citizens, scored 4 goals and gave 6 assists. Emil also has three fights for the youth team of Azerbaijan.
Earlier, Polesie parted ways with defenders Andrey Vlasyuk, Ilya Cherednichenko, as well as midfielders Daniil Volynets and Maxim Andryushchenko.
Newcomers to the Zhytomyr club were defenders Artem Shabanov and Sergei Chobotenko. Polesie also signed Dynamo defender Nikita Kravchenko on loan. According to Sport Arena, Polissya is interested in Zorya midfielder Yevgeny Shakhov and midfielder Metallist Vyacheslav Tankovsky.
Polissya took first place in the First League standings and will play in the Premier League next season.
