‘Zenith’ coach says when Malcolm and Renan will return to club location

Offensive Malcolm and protector Robert Renan will be back soon”Zenith St. Petersburg football club coach William de Oliveira said.

Malcolm took part in two friendlies for the Brazilian national team in June – with the teams of Guinea (4:1) and Senegal (2:4). Zenit has started the pre-season training camp in Saint Petersburg.

– This is the fourth day of training camp in St. Petersburg. How are the trainings going? What is the state of the team? How have the loads evolved over these four days?

– The guys are in good condition – this year they did not have a long vacation. The tests we carried out showed a good result – the team’s preparation for the new season is going in the right direction. This period of training camp is probably the most difficult for the players, as there is a lot of running work, but we try to add game drills and ball drills to training as often as possible. . We are also adding tactical lessons to the training – in general, so far, everything is going well.

– How does the new player Du Queiroz fit in?

– Get used to it, of course! After practice I asked him how he was – he said it was a bit rough. In principle, this is understandable – in Brazil football players prepare a little differently. Yes, you have to get used to it, but he’s a guy who works, doesn’t fall and does whatever is necessary.

– Are you in contact with Malcolm, with Robert Renan and other guys?

– Yes of course! Last night I spoke with Malcolm, he is full of energy and really wants to come back. Now he is going to rest a bit and in a few days he will be with us. It’s the same with Robert,” de Oliveira told Zenit’s website.

Malcolm was recognized as the best player of the last season in the Russian championship. The Brazilian was the league’s top scorer last season with 23 goals.
