Russian women’s national football team will play a friendly match with the Iranian team in Kazan, reports the press service of the Russian Football Union (RFU).
The meeting will take place on July 14 at the Central Stadium in the capital of Tatarstan, the teams will face each other for the first time. A second test match with Iran is also scheduled, which will take place without spectators on July 18.
The Russian women’s team ranks 24th in the FIFA rankings, while the Iranian team is 61st.
From June 26 to July 6, the Russian women’s team is holding a training camp in the Chinese city of Qingdao. As part of it, the Russians will play two friendly matches with the Chinese team, they will take place behind closed doors on July 1 and 4.
Russian clubs and teams have been suspended from participating in international tournaments due to the situation in Ukraine.
