Holyfield: Can Usyk beat Fury? I think no

Face-to-face fight between Alexander and Tyson may take place in December

Former undisputed world champion in two weight categories Evander Holyfield spoke about a possible unification bout between the WBA / WBO / IBF / IBO heavyweight title holder Oleksandr Usyk and WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.

Can Usyk beat Fury? I think no. Fury has shown that he is a great boxer. Among all, he is the only one who can change his tactics.”

“Fury has never been defeated. So I don’t know if Usyk can beat Fury. Until Tyson loses, how can you tell if anyone is capable of this?

In April, Fury planned to have a unification fight with Usyk, but the Ukrainian pulled out of negotiations due to contract disagreements. The name of Tyson’s new opponent and the date of the Briton’s return to the ring are still unknown.

Usyk will face Daniel Dubois next. The fight is scheduled to take place on August 26 in Wroclaw, Poland. Usyk will receive 75% of the total prize fund – $6 million. Dubois can count on 25% – 2 million.

Skill Challenge Entertainment plans to host Usyk vs. Fury as part of a massive boxing event in Saudi Arabia in December.
