Defender of Moscow “Spartacus” Nikita Chernov admitted that the departure of Evgeny Melezhikov from the position of general manager of the club surprised him.
Last week, Melezhikov left Spartak with the agreement of the parties. He was replaced by Oleg Malyshev, who previously held senior positions at one of the world’s largest consulting firms.
– Actually, Melezhikov’s departure was a bit surprising. Nobody said anything. There were no comments or news. We can say that like the snow fell on his head. Vladimirovich is a wonderful person. I think he’s going to get us together, come back to the locker room – let’s talk about it. I think he still hasn’t gone far from the team. He will always worry about us,” Chernov told the “Championship”.
The new RPL season starts from July 21 to 23, the Red-Whites will play at home in the first round with Orenburg.
