torch defender Igor Kalinin told RB Sport the goal of playing as many matches as possible in a season and getting into the Russian national team, as well as helping Fakel stay in the RPL.
Fakel previously extended the lease of a player whose rights belong to Rostov. The 27-year-old played 22 games for Fakel last season and had one assist.
– My goal is to help Fakel achieve his goals and play the season as productively as possible, spend as much playing time as possible, – said Kalinin. – The task of the team is to stay in the RPL. For us, this is our number one goal. Then there are personal goals.
– What are they?
– Play as many matches as possible in one season and enter the Russian national team.
– It’s true?
– I will be worthy and I will deserve a place in the national team – I will receive a call. Valery Georgievich Karpin is a fair coach. The team headquarters sees everything. He who is worthy is called.
Last season, MIR RPL Fakel took 14th place in the standings, but thanks to two wins over Krasnoyarsk Enisey (1-0 and 2-0) in the play-offs, he retained the right to play in the league next season.
In the first round of the new season, RPL Fakel will face Rostov on the road.
