Romelu Lukaku tops list of Londoners’ transfer failures

Former forward Chelsea Andriy Shevchenko entered top 10 worst acquisitions London club according to the British edition of the Daily Mail.

The Ukrainian took sixth place in the ranking of Chelsea’s transfer failures. Above Shevchenko are Romelu Lukaku, Alvaro Morata, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Danny Drinkwater.

Shevchenko moved to Chelsea from Milan in 2006, but two years later he returned to the Italian club on loan. In 2009, the striker left London and joined Dynamo.

Shevchenko made 77 appearances for Chelsea, scoring 22 goals and 11 assists.

In 2012, Shevchenko ended his professional football career, after which he coached the national team of Ukraine and Genoa.
