Ukrainian midfielder returned to the Kyiv club
Central defender Dynamo Denis Popov commented on the return to the team Andriy Yarmolenko. According to him, Yarmolenko will lead the white and blue forward.
“For six months they talked about the return of Yarmolenko. I can only repeat: this is a very important transfer for Dynamo. Yarmolenko is a legendary football player and will definitely help us. As a leader, he will lead the team forward.
Will Shaparenko give him number 10? No, they didn’t. I think every player will give him his number if Yarmolenko says. He has great authority,” Popov said.
Yarmolenko moved to Dynamo as a free agent, signing a two-year contract.
Recall that Yarmolenko has already played for Dynamo from 2006 to 2017. During this time, the midfielder managed to play 341 matches for the people of Kiev in all tournaments, in which he scored 137 goals.
Dynamo took fourth place in the standings of the Ukrainian championship and will play in the Conference League qualification. The team has already begun preparations for the new UPL season. In July, the blue and white will go to training camp in Austria.
