The London club wants to sign a new goalkeeper

Chelsea shows interest in the goalkeeper Shakhtar Anatoly Trubinaccording to well-known insider Fabrizio Romano.

According to him, after the departure of Edouard Mendy in Al-Ahly, the London club is looking for a new goalkeeper. The Blues are considering Kepa Arrizabalaga as first goalkeeper but want to sign a new goalkeeper who will compete with the Spaniard.

In addition, Romano confirmed Inter’s interest in Trubin. Earlier it was reported that the Nerazzurri held the first talks with the Pitmen’s entourage.

Trubin’s contract with Shakhtar expires in the summer of 2024. It was reported that the goalkeeper could move to a club from the European top league in the summer transfer window for 12-15 million euros. The Ukrainian was on the list of interests of Sevilla, Tottenham, Juventus, Sassuolo and Benfica.

Last season, Anatoly accounted for 38 matches for Shakhtar in all competitions (40 goals conceded). The goalkeeper completed 14 meetings “to zero”.

Now Trubin is at the location of the youth team of Ukraine at the European Championship 2023. Ruslan Rotan’s team has already reached the 1/4 finals of the tournament.

Chelsea finished twelfth in the last edition of the English Premier League. Shakhtar became the champion of Ukraine.
