Rebrov: Ukrainian players are now showing a decent level of football and deserve to advance to the next round

Head coach Ukrainian national team Sergey Rebrov commented on the entry of the youth team into the quarterfinals of the European Championship 2023.

“I decided to support our team and expressed my gratitude that they made it to the next round. They really deserve this release. It is also very interesting for me to look at the candidates for the national team.

I like the current game of the team, as I have said before. Ukrainian players are now showing a decent level of football and deserve to advance to the next round. Now we need to talk with the coaches, find a consensus. I am sure that there are a lot of talented guys in Ukraine. It is very important that we find the right approach to them. Ruslan Rotan’s team took second place in group B. In the quarterfinals, Ukraine will play with the winner of the quartet D – the French team. The fight will take place on July 2 in Cluj-Napoca. The beginning is at 22:00 Kyiv time.

In the 1/2 finals, the winner of the France-Ukraine pair will play with the best in the confrontation Spain-Switzerland. The semi-final match will take place on July 5 in Bucharest.

The final of the European Championship 2023 is scheduled for July 8 in Batumi. Recall that the three best teams of the tournament, except for France and England, will receive tickets to the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
