Warren: We’ve tried Usyk three times this year. If he wanted it, then the fight would have taken place

Fury’s promoter accused the Ukrainian champion of disrupting the unification bout

Frank Warrenpromoter of the WBC World Heavyweight Championship Tyson Furyaccused again Oleksandr Usyk in the breakdown of the unification duel.

“Tyson really wants to fight and we have to give him a fight. We need to act, we can’t wait for others to take action,” Warren said.

“We tried to arrange a fight with Usyk three times this year. Despite all the bullshit on social media, he didn’t want to fight. If Usyk wanted it, then the fight would have taken place.

“Usyk wants to wait. He thinks he will get his $70 million in Saudi Arabia and I understand that. I understand this very well, but stop talking nonsense about the fact that the fight will not take place because of Tyson.

It was previously reported that the fight for the title of absolute world heavyweight champion between Usyk and Fury will not take place in December 2023. The duel wanted to organize the Saudi company Skill Challenge Entertainment.

In April, Fury planned to have a unification fight with Usyk, but the Ukrainian pulled out of negotiations due to contract disagreements. The name of Tyson’s new opponent and the date of the Briton’s return to the ring are still unknown.

Usyk will face Daniel Dubois next. The duel should take place on August 26 in Wroclaw, Poland. Usyk will receive 75% of the total prize fund – $6 million. Dubois can count on 25% – 2 million.
