Everton extend contract with team captain Coleman

The Irishman has been playing for Iris since 2009.

Everton announced the signing of a new contract with the team captain Seamus Coleman. The agreement with the 34-year-old right-back runs until the end of the 2023/24 season.

Coleman joined Everton in January 2009. In total, the Irish defender has 409 matches for Toffees and 28 goals.

Sheamus has three games left to surpass goalkeeper Tim Howard’s record of 354 appearances for Everton in the Premier League.

Sheamus made 26 appearances for Everton last season, scoring one goal.

Everton ended the season in 17th place in the Premier League table and guaranteed their place in the 2023/24 Premier League. Ukrainian defender Vitaliy Mykolenko plays for Irisok.
