The main organized supporters of Palmeiras held a protest against Leila Pereira, president of the São Paulo club, and asked for reinforcements in the season

Main organized crowd of palm treesMancha Verde staged a protest this Thursday morning, the 29th, against the management of Leila Pereira, president of the club. The group carried out the act at the headquarters of Crefisa, the agent’s company, in São Paulo.

“Aunt Lelia, pay attention, that plane is not a toy”, “Look who arrived, it’s the plane, the pig’s new steering wheel” and “You’re in trouble, you sold Scarpa and bought a plane” were phrases chanted by Palmeiras fans who were at the demonstration.

The fans called for reinforcements for the coach Abel Ferreira in season. The plane bought by Leila, to facilitate the club’s international travel logistics, was the target of protests. Despite the act, banners showing support for the Portuguese cast and coach were raised by the demonstrators. “Closed with Abel and the cast” was one of the phrases written.

Check the note from Mancha Verde about the protest in full:

“In civil terms, this Thursday morning, we protested asking for reinforcements for the squad and against the absurd amount of tickets charged by Palmeiras.

The charge for reinforcements comes from the end of last year. Still in the celebration of the Brasileirão 2022, president Jorge and vice Fezinho warned the vice president of the club Paulo Buosi about the need to replace the departures of Scarpa and Danilo, in addition to reinforcements in the defense and a reserve for Veiga. The charges continued in Copinha and in the beginning of Paulistão.

Now, on the eve of the opening of the transfer window, we have intensified charges, due to the bottleneck of competitions and the imminent risk of injuries, such as the one suffered by midfielder Zé Rafael.”
