Yaroshik spoke about the similarities between Gazzaev and Mourinho

Former Moscow footballer CSKA Jiri Yaroshik told which coach he remembers Valery Gazzaev and also drew a parallel between him and the Portuguese Jose Mourinho .

Yaroshik played for CSKA from 2003 to 2004, from where he moved to London”chelsea where Mourinho worked. Last week, the Czech led “Orenburg”.

– What are the similarities between Gazzaev and Mourinho for you?

– Gazzaev loved and knew how to motivate players, he was a winner by nature. He found the right approach for each player. He has many good qualities. Well, except for training in boot camp (laughs).

Gazzaev is tough, but he knew how to joke. Pleasant person and trainer. I remember sometimes he showed us how to hit the goal correctly, put a leg, put the body. I didn’t know then that he was a serious player.

Respectfully listened to his advice, but it was fun. Because he had such a belly, such a small waist. It looked funny.

– But, despite his belly and his age, did he really hit the mark?

– Yes. If you were a good player, then of course you are no longer running at your age, but the quality of reception, first touch and shooting always remains and is not lost.

– After England, did you meet Gazzaev? He apparently didn’t quite understand that you didn’t want to join CSKA after Chelsea.

— My departure from CSKA was difficult. I did not say goodbye to the players, to the management, to the coaches. We went on holiday, got a call from England and went straight away. He was loaned out by Chelsea, was unaware of CSKA’s interest. My agent said, “Let’s go to Birmingham.” There is no need to change country, you will be here for all to see.

Maybe if Gazzaev had called then, everything would have been different.

– But you didn’t communicate with Gazzaev afterwards?

– No, – said Yaroshik “”.
