Athletistic/Football. Spartak coach Guillermo Abascal has shared his thoughts on the change in the club’s CEO.
In June, Oleg Malyshev took the place of general manager of the reds and whites, replacing Evgeny Melezhikov.
Abascal expressed his gratitude to Melezhikov for his work and told about the meeting with Malyshev.
“I want to express my personal gratitude to Evgeny Vladimirovich Melezhikov for all the years he spent here. I know he worked hard and productively. I am grateful to him for what he has done for the club He really invested a lot in Spartak.
It was the general idea of Spartak and Lukoil to organize such a meeting. We wanted to give the opportunity to people who gave their all for the team to say goodbye to the team in this way. Football is a sport saturated with emotions. He gives us a lot, but he also demands a lot.
It was very important for us to hold such a meeting in this format. There were two general managers – one said goodbye, the other welcomed. We discussed to understand who we are, how we work, what values we have. I think everything went well. I really liked this evening,” said the Spaniard in an interview with the club’s press service.
