“I decided to make this video to finally speak out and also to clarify some things after all the repercussions on the investigation case. As you all know, I gave testimony in all truth on the day of the hearing at the STJD, which took place in secrecy. This means that some details cannot be spoken openly for procedural, preservation and safety reasons for me and my family.
When judged, I suffered my punishment and promptly complied, aiming to comply with what was determined in the first instance by the STJD, and even so some people continue their judgment only based on excerpts distorted by the press. Unfortunately, nowadays social networks have a lot of weight and a lot of voice. Because these people think they are judges, they think they have the right to judge others, I was very massacred, I was very defamed, I was even threatened by those who said they were rooting for me.
Today I say goodbye to Santos, a club I had the honor of representing. I would like to apologize first to the club, and also to my teammates and supporters who, in some way, were affected by the repercussions of the allegations. I also apologize to all the people who have affection, admiration and respect for me. For those who really know me, know my character and know that I wouldn’t do anything to harm anyone, I’m sorry.
I regret letting myself get involved with people who called themselves friends, whom I trusted. Even though I regretted it and didn’t do anything that was proposed to harm my team, I was greatly harmed. I was the biggest loser, actually. My name, my image, my sporty side were damaged. Many doors were closed, my honor was put to the test, my safety and that of my family were shaken.
I also take the opportunity to thank everyone who sent me messages of support, positive messages, there were many messages. Thank you very much, I thank you from the heart for each one, I haven’t been able to read them all yet or reply to everyone, because I was absent from social networks for a while. Now, after this announcement, I want to go back to having a normal life..
I will answer everything I need only in my legal defenses, and life that goes on. I am a husband, I am a father, I am a son, I am a friend, I am a brother. Our lives are not defined by our mistakes or our downfalls, but by how we move forward with them. This does not define who Eduardo Bauermann really is.
Those who know me know that I am happy to have the opportunity to continue my life, my career, continue doing what I love most and continue learning God’s teachings. I wish that the people who follow me, who accompany me and who like me, continue and keep cheering because I will definitely come back on top,” he said on video.
